The Creed - Xbox 360 Hand Painted Faceplate

Hey Guys! So practically this is the latest project i have been working on which i completed today. My partner and i are huge fans of Assassin's Creed. I believe it was the best game released on the Xbox 360 ever. So one day we were on youtube and we saw this cool clip http://youtu.be/WbEeA7CG79Q and inspired me to paint my partners Xbox faceplate. We found the design he wanted and then production began. It an estamated time of 16 hours to complete.

Inspired Design
This is were the idea and design on the faceplate came from. The one on the left is the completed one i did, the one in the center is the imagie of the Pre-made faceplate while the one on the right was hand painted by Jenni Chasteen.

In Progress: Led Sketch
This took roughly an hour to complete and was very frustrating. I used a Derwent Graphic Soft Pencil B.

In Progress : Painting and Blending
This was the hardest step because of how much detail you had to capture in such a small space. I started with the background and just layer apon layer of blue and mixing white to create the desired effect. To do the writing i used a tooth pick and slowly traced around the lettering. Writting 'CREED' was the hardest part because the blue was covering half the letter so i had to assume were the letters where. A tooth pick was also used to paint the face.

Finish Faceplate
This is what it ended looking like it the final product. I still have to gloss it but that is it till it finished completely. It takes along time to do and im not going to lie you need patiants because its not just going to magically apear. I have completed my cert.1 and 2 in contemparey arts and craft and i believe thats half the reason i am able to produce something like this. In saying this if you are willing to put in the time and effort you could end up with something like this or even better...Good Luck :)
